The first Jarrahdale Wood Heater was designed and manufactured in Western Australia by Mr Ron Clare |
1988 |
Ron & Jenny Clare acquired the companies first manufacturing facility at 17b Malcolm Rd, Maddington WA |
1990’s |

1991 |
The first Jarrahdale Evaporative Air Conditioner was designed and manufactured in WA, followed by the development of the air-conditioning service division |
1992 |
Began distribution of Jarrahdale Wood Heaters to regional WA through a state dealer network |
1996 |
Rowan Clare, son of Ron & Jenny, and now a co-director, began working in the family business |
1997 |
Jarrahdale Wood Heaters were first tested and approved for emissions and efficiency in a National Association of Testing Authorities (NATA) approved lab |
1998 |
Began sales and installation of Reverse Cycle Air-Conditioning systems |
2000’s |

Acquired 17a Malcolm Rd, Maddington to expanded manufacturing operations and capabilities |

A commitment to continual improvement led to key design modifications for popular wood heater models; Rhapsody, Innovator and Jumbo |

Jarrahdale Heating & Cooling opened its first showroom on Albany Hwy in Maddington |

Leon Clare, youngest son of Jenny & Ron, and now a co-director, began working in the family business |
2004 |
Acquired Gold Dealer Status with Fujitsu Air Conditioning for the sale and installation of Fujitsu Reverse-Cycle Air-Conditioning |
2005 |
Dealer network for Jarrahdale Wood Heaters expanded Australia wide. The national dealer network now includes Tasmania, South Australia, Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland. |
2006 |
Brothers Rowan & Leon Clare became Operational Managers of Jarrahdale Heating & Cooling |
2007 |
Acquired state-of-the-art CNC Plasma Cutter, used to maximise efficiency and precision during manufacture of wood heaters and evaporative air-conditioning |
2008 |
A major fire destroyed the Albany Hwy showroom |
2009 |
Proving their resilience in the wake of the fire, the Clare family designed and built a new showroom at 17 Malcolm Rd, Maddington |
2010’s |

Launch of an innovative new wood heater, the Convector In-Built. Designed with a streamline fascia to fit flush with the wall, this stylish design is very popular. |
2012 |
Acquired factory at 19 Malcolm Rd, Maddington to expand manufacturing and storage capabilities |
2012 |
Launch of the Diamond Series of Jarrahdale Evaporative Air-Conditioners; an improved range incorporating the latest cooling technology |
2014 |
Acquired state-of-the-art Fibre Optic Laser Cutter to compliment the laser cutter and further advance manufacturing capabilities |
2015/16 |
All Jarrahdale Wood Heaters re-tested for low emissions after months of research and development to ensure compliance with new regulations |
2016 |
Acquired Water Jet Cutting machinery to compliment the laser and plasma cutting and further advance manufacturing capabilities |
2018 |
Partnership established with Seeley International Pty Ltd to offer a more extensive range of Evaporative Cooling Systems. Jarrahdale Heating & Cooling began offering industry leading brands including Breezair, Coolair and Braemer. |
2018 |
Two new wood heater models released to suit larger residences and commercial settings; Countryman & Clydesdale. Production began of both freestanding and built-in versions. |
2018 |
Jarrahdale Heating Midvale opened its doors as an authorised dealership, exclusively offering Jarrahdale Wood Heaters to the eastern suburbs of Perth. |
2019 |
In response to growth opportunities into interstate markets, Taylor Made Flues, Victoria were appointed as the distributor for Jarrahdale Wood Heaters within the Eastern States. |
2020’s |

2022 |
The Wood Stacker Series is released including three new large wood heater models with built-in wood storage. |
2023 |
Acquisition of new premises at 10 Malcolm Rd, Maddington to amalgamate all operations. New location includes a 5,500sq/m factory and refurbished showroom, situated on a 13,000 sq/m block. Factory houses x5 gantry cranes, x5 fibre laser cutters, water jet cutter and HD Plasma cutter; used in the production of Jarrahdale Wood Heaters and for sheet metal jobbing work. |
